Search for Notepad.exe on your PC - open it - now drag Ender run.bat into the Notepad window - edit . save as run.bat - make sure to choose "all files" (not text file) when saving

you might have to uncheck write protection of run.bat before you do ...

Hey,

Tried to run this with and without the updater, I get the same issue.

I run run.bat and it comes up with the cmd window. It writes some text and pauses, then writes a load more text in there and then disappears suddenly before I can see what was written. Then the game just never runs, as if I never clicked the button. Not sure what's going on.

OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Java: 64 bit version 7
Ender: Not sure what version but the latest changelog entry is dated 04/08/11
Content of run.bat: Not sure, don't know how to make it create a log of what was in there.

DL Ender update.zip http://odditown.taggedup.com/ender/update.zip - unpack into Ender folder by overwriting

you'll need to put in a new line containing the word
Code: Select all
pause
into run.bat
that way CMD window stays open as long you don't close the client - minimize client to copy or screenshot the errormessages

Thanks, that helped me figure out what the problem was. Trying to use 64 bit over 32 bit. I thought because my computer was 64 bit that I had java 64 bit, turns out I misread the instructions for install a little bit. Sorry. Anyway that's sorted it and it runs.

You can open run.bat for editing with Notepad.exe - upload images with http://postimage.org which is free and doesn't need registering - mark the second given link, copy and paste here

You might look with explorer.exe where your Java is located to get the path and the Bit version
i.e.
32 Bit c:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\
64 Bit c:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\

Ender 32 Bit version with 32 Bit (x86) Java - Ender 64 Bit with Java 64 Bit
