I'm sure MLB players are also proud of their own achievements, yet I do not see any of them attending little league games and ruining the fun for everyone involved. You are not the first person, nor will you be the last person to learn programming, and decide to make bots. However, you are definitely one of the few people to be a massive dick about it, and continue to wave their imaginary e-penis at everyone else who complains about the advantage that botting gives you. The botting, and the exploits that you have attempted to abuse lead me to only one conclusion.

If your accusing me of any of it you should at least have something to base it on. Strange how I haven't ever made a single offensive bot to ruin others fun as you say I have. Next time you want to start a witch hunt at least find a shred of evidence to base your accusations on.

Obfuscated programs are coming but you will imo opinion be always able to hook into functions not open source or not. This is mostly a reply to the people whos blind rage didnt bother to let them actually read what I wrote so I will reiterate. All i said was that bots have changed the agem significantly and raised the bar much higher for new players. Im not against bots and don't think you will be able to stop people from botting if the developers tried. My point is that the discussion needs to shift from whether bots are bad to what should be done and what the game should be and how we can all get the most enjoyment out of it.

bots: with bots u can make a lot of shits IN THE SAME TIME, i need cut trees, make pies, and harvest fields? no problem, run 3 client-bots and run my scripts (log-collector.babybot, pumpkinpies.babybot , farmer.babybot) and i read a book..(or write other bots...)
meanwhile... the non-bot-player .. well. i want see one guy making that shits in the same time without brain exploded in the pc.., yes the bots destroy the 30% of this game.. i make bots, i play with bots , i build like 300 scripts because i can, etc , and i still think bots destroy the game in 30%

custom clients :
this destroy the game too (30%).. autoagro, double-tap atack, autodrink... not everyone have thats features, obvisuly is a disadvantage

if you join custom client + bot, the player just is overwhelming... a lot of boted-food (stats) + fast movemements (custom client) = enjoy you die in your vanila client,

then..bots are bad or good?
if you are using bots, is because you are BORED of that work, personally idk if someone have a hunter-bot, me not, because i found a lot of funny hunt animals... make the game more enjoyable = bot out. (or make that bot-work public for everyone)

all factors, custom clients and bots, but in special the comunity.. this comunity sucks a lot...and everyone know's that shit is the 60% about this game never be good, famous or have a regular players...

The majority isn't the one ruining the game, I have indeed met many friendly people, but it only takes 1 asshole.

Ive never botted, Ive autohotkeyed things like mouse clicks and holding shift down for some stuff, like when i scroll mouse wheel. I personally think botting is the worst thing you could possibly do. If you bot, not only are you absurdly lazy, but you diminish the labor of those that don't exploit. I feel like only the most ignorant unsportsman like player would actively use bots that automate entire parts of the game. Now, do I think that matters one iota what I think, no. Do I think it will change anyones playstyle, no. Do I blame jorb et al, no. I think if jorb and loftar actually had caps on player skills and quality of materials or at least diminishing returns to a large degree, than we wouldnt have to deal with it, as the grind to the top, grind to win faggots that do bot, would eventually be caught up too. The problem would take care of itself. Instead of focusing on attempting to balance the fact that the game has no caps on anything outside of some resources like clay, they should hard cap everything at say 100, and balance to that. Then they could focus on actually creating some more sandboxy systems as content than the bitch fest that occurs when players reach superhuman levels in any facet of the game, destroying thier original balance idea's. I mean as a developer you cant balance to the basement dwelling exploiter, but they in the end, control your game, they get demi god powerful and push out your average paying customer with the ability to grief them on a whim, with no chance of self defense aside from cheating horribly to compete.

This was the exact same problem that darkfall faced when they started to reach 4-6 months into darkfall 1.0. No caps= cheat to win.


Edit: Not only would that fix the demigod crap, but it would also massively promote pvp, as you would eventually have finished charactors you could risk, there would be an end to the grind, and you would know that it was player skill that caused you to get blapped instead of exploiting. I would actively work towards a pvp charactor if that was the case, instead all i play this game for is a silly sandbox builder until i get raided then i quit again until the next world, rinse repeat, because I will never be competitive the way the game is designed, I actually have a life outside of the game.

Can you definitively say that your bots have not been used to build walls, guard towns, farm, gather resources, etc. and that you did not gain any benefits from these bots in the form of protection, trading, character building, etc....

No? Then your bots are absolutely ruining the experience of the players who do not attempt to bot everything. You ruin the trading that can occur from buying and selling bricks, you ruin the raiding that could happen if a bot was not there to patrol the walls, you out trade people who work without botting in order to produce their goods. Can you also claim that you have not attempted to exploit any type of game play? In effect, your bot is offensive to the general game play of this game, and effect the trading economy. And when the subject of botting comes up, each and every time you feel the need to brag about your work, and talk down onto people who argue against it.

As for your ego, people can just look at your previous posts and decide for themselves.
