Game Client modified by Ender

Still weird that the defaults server / client connection is working and resources gets downloaded while Ender isn't ...

btw. you can delete the line with pause in run.bat so the CMD window doesn't stay open

So, I wanted to start HnH again. I try to open the game through Ender's Client but it freezes every time I try to log into the game.
I can get to the starting screen, but once I click "log in where you logged out" I get a black screen and it freezes. I also can't create a new character or log in on my hearth fire (freezes too).

Also, I'm running on windows 8.1

Did you try with a fresh install of Ender? Create a folder - download https://github.com/EnderWiggin/haven-up ... pdater.jar - put it in created folder and run it by doubleclicking it fetches all needed files...you then just need to create a run.bat

When this fresh install runs well we can go on looking how to fix your old installation...

I had that happen all the time. update java. delete belt.conf. make it create new prefs files. worked for me. win7. install start is back ps win 8 is an abomination.

So I'm as nooby as a noob could be right now so bear with me.

I just decided to try the game, I saw a video on youtube recommending I get this custom client. I download it, it installs, the launcher launches by itself and the game works fine.

Flash forward until now, I try to launch the game again. To be honest I'm not entirely sure which executable file to click. I try client-res that does nothing, I try Haven-res and that does nothing. I try the Haven executable file and the game launches but with no changelog on the login screen. I enter in my account details and I'm greeted with.

Connection refused: connect

So Okay I think, maybe I entered in my stuff wrong, apparently thats not the case.

I checked the little troubleshooting faq on the OP and it says if I have that error I sohuld download some alternate launcher called the CClauncher. viewtopic.php?f=27&t=21910 - that thing.

I do that but I get an odder error: Error: Subscript used with non-Array variable.

So just for good measure, I reinstall the whole thing several times, in my program files x86 and in my normal 64 bit program files folder. Once again, after it is finished installing the game runs fine but after closing out of it I'm out of luck.

So any ideas? All help is very much appreciated.

Also if I'm doing something exceedingly stupid please tell me, I'm not as computer literate as I'd like to think I am.

But the main page says that the server is up. In addition to that, I could connect fine when the game autolaunched after installing Ender's alternate client.
