Is anyone "not" using a bot?

If people feel we get a huge advantage over others in the game because some in my town choose to bot, that's fine. All I explained was we had an advantage even last world with NO ONE botting. so I think it has a little more to do with the gameplay, time, dedication etc that our villagers have to the town. but I understand that for many people, it's easier to say that large towns are only doing well cause they 'cheat' or 'bot' everything to death. whatever makes you happy, you can believe. I also want you to sleep better at the end of the day

your achievements of town is not the point, emerald.
i dont care whatever advantages you think you gained or have. everyone has different values and what you consider cheap or stupid may be a great achievement for another, what you consider great may be a trash for another. they are all equally worth to each and i believe you agree that. nobody is trying to dirt your town "achievement", well, maybe except for chocolate person.
i see that you are very proud of your status and your village success and that is good for you and id congratulate you, but seriously, thats not the point of the topic no matter how you want to bring it up here and prefer to think that people are jealous or something.

what ive been saying is, saying "i dont bot" when your friends bot for you is bullshit, you DONT feel the need to bot which some others are talking about and you can keep yourself "clean". its basically the same discussion we had a long ago, "we dont do this/that" when your friends do it for you.

anyone who knows us knows we support anyone who needs it. and yes I am proud of the success we make, and I love seeing other peoples achievements, which are different to mine. and in my town others have their own specific achievements and that's great too. some like making over abandoned towns, or setting up trade, or creating a script. whatever it maybe.

the point of this discussion asked if anyone was not botting, and I said I didn't and I have never personally used a bot myself. that was answering the question, I don't think ive hidden the fact that some of my villagers do. especially since everyone is by now aware xcom is a member of EC. but you and others seem to then presume that this gives us a much higher advantage cause some of the town uses bots. I was claiming that yes it does, but that same advantage can be gained without bots too which is the same position we had last world without bots. which is shot down only with: she's a botter and lying abt it. why not explore how players can develop in this game without worrying abt who uses or doesn't use bot?

yes time is huge. starting earlier in the game. getting better resources, being able to spend more time online to play, having othrs who do also. but even now, so much can be bought. so if u forage and can provide curios and pearls u can pretty much set yourself up successfully if ure unable to produce things yourself or simply don't want to.
ive seen players join EC as relatively new but because the have more time to dedicate to doing things have better than me even though my char is from day 1. they understand the feasting mechanics, they know what to eat to build specific stats etc etc.
and as u stated before, not everyone tries to get to the 'top', they have their own achievements. plenty have left my town cause they feel they want to do theirown things, so thy would have something to build up from scratch. that's the nice thing abt this game. when I started playing in my first world, all the little things were amazing but that's a long while back now!

Drifting indeed. EC botting does not diminish your accomplishments emerald in building your city. It does however change it itself. A botting city can not be compared to a city that does not because they are in iherently unequal. Botting necessitates everyone botting for it to be fair and it cuts out those who do not. That's why Tonkyhonk thinks this is arrogant of you.If you painted something amazing you would look at it differently than if it were computer generated.Thats the difference it diminishes the accomplishment of having stuff and what is built. It does not diminish holding a big city together. Bit rambly. too bad.

The difference between me and her town is that I am a human being and her town is just some pixels in a video game

I think it is okay to use small bots, like for certain things that fucking hurt to do, such as filling several barrels using a well. Though looking around on the forums it seems like people bot almost every single thing..

Where once in this whole discussion has Em tried to deny any involvement with bots? She has openly stated right from the start that some players in EC bot, all she has ever said is that she doesn't personally use them. Neither has she tried to justify it, Emerald and her town came under attack, once again, - and Em has openly discussed it, accepts there are advantages and acknowledges some people have a problem with it.

That's fair enough. but again, there is nothing we have this world, we didn't have last world without bots. only difference being is that my main villagers don't spend as much time ingame as they did last world, and nor do I.
Me explaining my position wasn't meant to come across as arrogant, I was simply stating my position, and speaking as a whole for my town, because I know a few of them who don't bot, found it slightly insulting, because they do all the day to day things most people do bot without botting. and others in my town will bot much of what they do. it's a choice. what everyone here is doing is lumping everyone who bots has villagers who bot into this bad little corner even if individually, everyone chooses to play differently.

and honestly, with the painting analogy, you could paint something amazing and you'd have a lot of amazing artistic ability, but if someone created something amazing that was generated using a computer, that would be amazing too, because that takes skill also. this isn't an argument for botting, it's simply a different way of looking at your example here.
