I took a look to NB with alt, is a nice idea if everyone help each others, but the true is that NB is just Chaos, how will you advance in that plots or defemd a shit without bwalls? Think about to create a fortress and when someone raid everyone can go there to protect themselfs and someone have the bwall keyalt to open the villagers. To make this possible u need to know the villagers lol.

Re: New Brodgar - Open City
Living in New Brodgar is definitely not for everyone. However, even as an experienced player, i find New Brodgar to be one the best villages i have ever joined. With being in New Brodgar, you gain contacts to many many other players. Some you can benefit greatly from. Also, Robben will always try to help you in any way possible. Even give you many high quality, free items to help you with your adventures.
While it is true that New Brodgar can and WILL be griefed, Robben does a good job of giving everyone a heads up as to what's going on within the village.
All in all, i reccomend this place as a new person. Not only does it expose you to many different aspects of the game freely, it also exposes you to other people who are willing to listen and help you understand and play the game. Also, while it is dangerous, it teaches you the implications of death within this game and what you ahve to do to survive within the world of Haven and Hearth.

Then the after party outside..

not mine Raegnar'sBrodgar wrought in blood and toil, tempers flaring, ADs foil.
Trader, farmer, thane and smith, safe at last in bricked up coil.
Raiders and trolls we do fear not, as long as we smoke the hempen pot
Long live brodgar, proud but small, long live its defenders, brave men all.
