Do herb tables affect the quality of silkworms? I've not noticed any improvement on the quality of the eggs I put in, but since everything else improves in a table it's got me wondering.

No, only starving your silkworms modifies their quality and that modifies it negatively. The only way to raise silkworm quality is the generational -/+ 5.

Does cheese in a mine stop aging when the zone unloads?

thanks, musky milben takes forever then.
I found iron on level 1 of my cave, and i prospected and found it on level 2. Is the difference between 1 and 2 just that the ore is Q20 and harder to mine?

I've read that, a few times. So finding a resource is independent of finding quality ore? That just seems odd. Is there any way to find higher quality stone besides picking at the tunnels all over the place?

For stones you might dig at mountains too or get better q stones by raising the smelt quality ... or trade

Re: Please Ask Simple Questions Here
I've played H&H for a while now but I've always played as a hermit without a village claim so I have some basic questions about it.
Does the formula given on the wiki for authority mean you will gain the base LP from studying a curiosity + the extra or is only the extra added to authority you gain? For example:
You study something and its base LP gain is 1000. Using the formula on the wiki page I get a gain of 6235 with an int of 48 and a cha of 81. Does the whole 6235 go to authority or only 5235 to authority and the 1000 to your LP? Do I have any of this correct?
Crossroads can only connect to other crossroads, you cant travel to your village idol from one?
Can you travel via crossroads while lifting a container?
If I expand my village claim using idols and someone comes in and destroys an idol that’s in the middle of several idols this will sever my authority over the area beyond where the idol was destroyed. Can I build a new idol where the old one was destroyed and re-add the existing claim or do I have re build all the idols all over again?
If you let authority run out I understand that anyone can do whatever they want without leaving scents. If I read the wiki correctly you can still use the oath function, correct? Can you still add players when there is no authority? If there is no authority can you still kick a player out of the village? If you can what happens to the 25k auth loss?
Thanks, ZZ.

Re: Please Ask Simple Questions Here
AuthGain = LP_Gain * (sqrt( (Int*Cha/10) ) /3)
Quote from wiki
Crossroads only connect to other crossroads, anybody can use them so only have them leading out of your base. Also being in a village unlocks travel to your village, works the same as travel to your hearth, except you can't use it with high travel weariness.
You can.
Only the Lawspeaker/Chieftan can destroy authority items (statues, banners), as long as the village has 50k+ authority.
You can still invite people, use crossroads and warp to your village. However, I've never tried to remove people with no authority before, I'd assume you can.
