As it is, new players already have to wait 6-12 hours to get one or two points of a skill, and that's when you're just starting. The time it would take to get the next two points would only double. Same shit, different smell, and also takes longer to take that shit.PolyMcFee wrote:Grinding hundreds of one thing and dropping it on the ground to gain 1 point of cartography is the exact reason i quit UO.
if i had to harvest 30,000+ crops to gain 2 points of farming every day so i could raise carrot Q of my high Q field i'd be done.
or make 1,000,000 buckets to get to 200 carpentry damn wouldn't be greatoh! wait.... i'd get like 1 point from making chairs and tables for the feasting area and I'd keep about 100 buckets for milk/wine/vinegar......
WHY DO THE DEV'S NOT MAKE IT SOOOOOO?

Re: Learn From Experience
If you think you rely on curios only as a beginner your perception goes wrong alot somehow ... each new discovery gives LP ... and that's where you get your main LP as a beginner not from studying ... starting right in creation room discover linen and digging your first sand ... after moving your PB change and peacefull already ...

Yeah I thought curiosities were always part of the game.
Anyway, I wasn't suggesting getting back to anything, just maybe conciliate both systems. But I guess things are fine the way the are.

No, things need to change, just not in the direction of an increase of grind.Brás wrote:Yeah I thought curiosities were always part of the game.
