Rotate objects?
my cupboards in my house are facing the wrong direction. is there any way to rotate them or do I just have to deal with it?

The direction they're facing depends on the direction you were facing when you placed them.
Use shift+place to snap to grid~

You will notice each space of a house is a square. Walk to the square in front of where you want the cupboard to go then place it. Oh yeah and you can only lift cupboards when they are emptied.
