I too wish they will one day see financial success (or rather, financial independence), and I hope they got some decent money for Salem, sadly though, I don't think they did, but that's just my speculation. :'(

Haven't you guys been paying attention Jorb and Loftar drop development of Salem to work on Haven/Hafen full time over a month ago.

They've been pretty adamant about devoting some degree of attention, even if it's only mulling over solutions, to both Salem and Haven. The announcement saying they were putting Salem on the backburner for a bit didn't change that, it just meant they weren't actively coding it. This junction means that all of their energies, both mental and physical, are going into Haven now. That means a lot.

From the sounds of what has been said they got something of a decent lump sum for their code and will continue to get a percentage of Salem's income. The better the new guys do with Salem the more money they'll continue to get.

The actual space is surprisingly cheap for a PAX booth at around $1300 USD for the cheap ones. If you want to give people a chance to play your game then it starts to get pricey, going into the 5-10,000 USD range. A weekend basic internet connection in the convention center costs $3500 USD.
