you should really have 5 or more in either unarmed or melee, and i'd really recommend some armor, it help a lot, even the q9 stuff i'm making right now.

i have never been hit by ants. dont raid the mound until you have killed all the ants. I seem to 1 hit the ants so i know they do not have much HP. once all the ants are dead (attacking them 1 at a time) you can raid the mound. if ants spawn awhile your raiding the mound they will not attack you.
