For the life of me I can't understand how crossroads work according to the wiki page. It's different this world too, right? What is the proper usage of them? I.E. Where would I build them so that I have the advantage of being able to quick travel from inside my palisade to outside, or to a water node, etc. etc without also exposing myself to griefers?

You have to build one inside, one outside, take a sign from the one outside and place it on the one inside.

inside crossroad /wall\ outside crossroad

take a sign from the outside one, link it into the inside one. now you can port from inside to outside with no way of someone else using it to enter your base. use port to idol or hf to get back inside yourself.

both crossroads have to be made on village claim - and don't attach a sign on the outer one as everyone is able to use it to port then!

Wiki page is a bit ambigutous, drinking high quality tea gives you same amount of buff percentage but more learning bonus?

A few questions -

1. So do ALL baby animals drink milk from their mother i.e. their stats will be softcapped by their mother's milk q or does that only go for cows?

2. How much milk does a calf drink, and how do I know if I am taking too much?

3. Does milk evaporate in wine barrels or something? I keep losing the amount I put in a day or two before. Is it because the barrel was outside or do I need to keep it in a demijohn?

1. yes, they are softcapped by their mom or by other cows giving milk around it. not sure if he drinks from closest or from farthest, but they do drink from barrel too. if you wanna get best possible q out of calves, you need to kill them asap after they get out of cowvagina, before they start drinking milk
2. i suggest you always have a barrel with highest possible milk, 20-30L around where calves are born and don't take milk from best q milkers around it aswell. put some older milkers in pens and take milk there, and keep replacing them as q goes up
3. milk does not evaporate, most likely calves were drinking it, otherwise it would stay there forever
