If the one who ports away with the container already dropped it, you'll be able to pull it disregarding the distance. Oddly, the scents will be on the culprit's end of the situation.LordD1 wrote:Basically allows you to take your items back after a trade under certain circumstances.

Right, but under what circumstance is this conceivably possible that you can just pull a container out of your ass, there's no detail on how this actually works other than a video of a guy picking up a ghost lc out of nowhereKennyoftheSands wrote: If the one who ports away with the container already dropped it, you'll be able to pull it disregarding the distance. Re: Trading Bug
Maybe rewatch the video.
In the beginning we started off with the chest.
The person picking up the chest in the beginning ports away with the chest. Then, my other friend (Xcom) "steals" the chest back from the person that ported away with the chest. This works with any liftable item.
I don't see how you don't see what is going on in the video. Also, yes... If you don't have rights to the person's claim where they ported the chest to the scent(s) is left where you make the chest reappear.

Re: Trading Bug
I've watched the video a couple of times, and it doesn't make sense when you really think about it, the guy just walks up and instantly gets a chest in his hands. There's no indication that it is possible to recapture something that isn't actually there.LordD1 wrote:Maybe rewatch the video.

I don't see how you think this makes sense, there's no indicator that the chest is/was there or that he was using a lift action to pick something up if it was there, you don't mention on how to actually make the chest reappear.
I haven't been able to replicate it, and I don't see how others could, or how you guys discovered this at all

Re: Trading Bug
Hi Thomas - what client? Did you verify with default client or clean Ender ? Or is it a client related "feature" ?

That's kind of the point. If i told you exactly how to do it... I'm afraid some might try and abuse it when it actually can be abused.
If you figure it out from the video, good job.
@Borka, it works on every client. It's game related, not a client feature, etc.
The bug also allows you to do silly stuff like this;
