I am very eager to play this game, but when I click play it shows it is downloading "autohaven". then, when I open "autohaven" i am asked what program i would like to run it under. what do i do?

You can plow in place then drink water. You can also remove your clothes and go wander around the swamp till exhausted then allow leeches to bloat. That will allow longer term hunger.

Drinking low quality water (i.e. q10) is definitely going to be quicker than sitting in a chair.

You're going to want wax at some point (mmm, travellers sacks! minehole probably not necessary but it's your call, you may want one) so why not invest the effort in farming? Hand plough a vast area around a single beehive and fill it with carrots (am I bothered whether you're full industry and have 1 farming? Well, you'll need someone else to breed the carrots then, and they won't be very *good* carrots, but this is apparently about grinding anyway so it's not like quality matters too much). Drink q10 water as you go. Enjoy the results.
