I made a account, logged in, clicked play.
It told me to update my Java which I did but now when I click play it downloads, and its a blank white file.

Re: Won't let me play D:
Same problem here. Just got a macbook. OS X. Java 8. I read through these forums a bit and then added this website to my site exception list. I even removed the jdk. I don't know how to find files or edit them to have different endings. I don't understand what run.bat even is. Seems to me that those who wish to play this game on their macs with java 8 must be computer savvy and able to manipulate files and such. I even tried rolling back to java six. Didn't work. I did manage to at least get it to run but this solid white box opens up and I can hear the character creation / enter world music begin to play. I can hear it, but cannot see a thing. Even the mouse disappears when I mouse over the white box. I am so sad.Shooterzx wrote:I made a account, logged in, clicked play.

Re: Won't let me play D:
In Java Security exceptions there must be both
The default client (Play Button) doesn't need a run.bat - that is for starting custom clients on Windows, on LInux it's run.sh and on MacOSX it would be run.command - more here:
https://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/vi ... 94#p490847
which would also be the right thread to post if there are more questions about running HnH custom clients on OSX
I also recommend to check if you have the latest updates for your OSX version -> Graphic drivers
(If you bought your MAC in a local store just create a folder called Ender, download the updater.jar into it, run it by doubleclicking - then go to your local store and let them help you with creating a run.command inside Ender folder and help you to run it - with the prices Apple takes there should be some support possible
)

If you want to use the default client you'll need to have enabled Java for your Browser in JCP (but leave it disabled in Browser settings) otherwise you won't get a prompt to choose the Java Web Start Launcher for jnlp files. (manually you can open autohaven with javaws in Java\jreX\bin)

Re: Won't let me play D:
Thank you, borka. I'll check out that thread and read all through it. Maybe if I google how to create a run.command inside an Ender folder, I can finally figure this out. Also, I already do have both of those added into my site exception list. I get the prompt Java Web start and tell it to 'run'. Then the Haven and Hearth box pops up that would normally allow me to enter the world or create a character but instead that box is solid white with the sounds playing. Sigh. Okay. Off to read through that thread now.
