Personally, I go full FEP bonus with hunger modification was an added benefit. Make the most out of the food I have, you know? To get the hunger mod that low took some swapping of items and the fep bonus just was added benefit of having the porcelain plate and silk items mostly.
Sure, I could have swapped out some items for gold or pearl and silver stuff, but we weren't trying to make the best table, just one good enough to have a small meal on and still get decent gains.
By the way, with that hunger mod i cleared the table 1 1/2 times before i got anywhere near over-stuffing.
Although, the tables I used to have had an amazing hunger AND an amazing FEP bonus, so picking one was just min-maxing in like +/- 1%.
