800 x .3 = 240

ok but how does armor class have to do with 30% of the damage it deals? If you have 600 armor class, shouldn't it also do 240 damage again because 30%?

The amount blocked by the armor gets 30% penetration. So 800 damage, when blocked entirely, would hit for 240. If 600 of the 800 damage is blocked, then the animal would hit for (600 x .3) = 180, plus the 200 damage that is above the AC, resulting in 380 damage.

Hello~! I just had a couple of questions. I logged into the game today to find that my chicken coop had vanished. Now, I built it not too long ago, but it did need to be repaired. Is it normal for something to just disappear like that? I'd also had an issue with chickens vanishing from the coop as well, but my land hadn't been claimed yet, and I just assumed somehow had been passing by and taken them. >.< I'm currently rebuilding the coop, but could it be a bug?

No, someone is likely robbing you and breaking your stuff. Secure your belongings.
Items can also decay and if they take too many hits of decay if not on claimed land they'll just be destroyed entirely. Structures also need to be on paved tiles to avoid decay hits I believe.

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you! ^.^ We staked a personal claim over everything, so that should do the trick.

If you have built your coops on grassland, then they will decay all on their own (even when claimed)
You should pave/brick under your coops to prevent this.

I am unable to build a mine support
I have discovered all items, I have mining skill and it shows up in build menu, but when I try to build it, my guy walks up to where I chose and stops.
He doesn't place down any sign. Is this due to it being in the area around a mine holes ladder?
