Yes, I noted. I just didn't want to ruin the party by having to tell him that "I have returned" is the exact same in Early Modern English. :)

It'd be a different thing in Old English, of course. I'd guess at "Ic eom gegncumen", but even I am not quite so hardcore as to be able to reconstruct it idiomatically.
Cough, humm, well, but then again, hummm, yes, on the other hand, come to think about it, well yes, however, hummm but you get the point. :geek:

Chak, you do realize that he's an entirely different person.

それで(warrriの行動を続いて、言語の数を増やす為に)Jackardへ、出来ない物は出来ない、こら。[/quote]

すいませんですが、外国人としてもそれの言う事の意味はちょっと了解し難いけど、「出来ない物は出来ない」というとどういう意味でしたっけ?

What is this? It...does not...scan.
It is difficult to correct shaky original sources, but did you mean:
そして、warri、 jackardに対して無理なぐらい言語の数を増やそう。

That was the best interpretation I could come up with....but it might not mean what you meant.

Though I know that my ability to construct Japanese is lagging far behind my comprehension of it (thanks to having noone to try it upon), I didn't think I was quote so far off. :)

What I was attempting to say was "Then (to continue warri's conduct and increase the number of languages), to Jackard: Hey! If I can't do it*, I can't." (* Referring to idiomatic phrasing of Old English)

I just came back from a bar, and I have to say that that concept is massively more difficult that it appears. So I am not going to attempt a translation tonight, although I do see exactly how one coming from a Germanic language would choose that approach.
It is sort of interesting....”できへん物はできへん” has the exact same idiomatic meaning that you were aiming for. I was not aware of the idiomatic use of the phrase in Old English. I am also unsure if this can be used outside Kansai, but I will check.

Also, for this sort of post, using kanji for できる and ために is pretty much verboten. Trying to turn every word that has a kanji into kanji is a 丸で初心者みたいの間違い。 And yes, I did that on purpose.

I am guessing the problem lies more in punctuation and a conjunction than anything else, but I will get on it tomorrow.

Ah no, you misunderstand. :)

I was not referring to the phrase existing as an idiom in Old English. The context is as follows: I tried to formulate "I have returned" in O.E. and finished with the remark that I couldn't do it idiomatically correctly; then Jackard told that I must; and I tried to respond that I couldn't do it. :)

I had the smoldering suspicion that that was the case for ために, but I believe myself to have read できる in kanji many times over. Am I just imagining things?
