Re: village chat
I wish this was an option, instead of being forced to join it.
Besides that, very nice.

Yes, I'd like it to be like that, I just couldn't figure out any good UI for it. :)Seizure wrote:I wish this was an option, instead of being forced to join it.

Re: village chat
How about just allowing it to be closed for now? It wouldn't be an ideal solution, bit it would work nicely for now.loftar wrote:Yes, I'd like it to be like that, I just couldn't figure out any good UI for it.Seizure wrote:I wish this was an option, instead of being forced to join it.

Re: village chat
Make a row of small buttons (think buttons for showing claims) just above the chat area. Clicking them toggles village chat, area chat and whatever other chats you add. I keep trying to close area chat because I hate seeing messages from hours ago, and I kinda miss the background. Maybe have the buttons blink if there's new messages in those chats since it was last closed (messages from before the closing get purged).

Re: village chat
By "good UI" I meant UI that doesn't take any effort to implement. ;)Potjeh wrote:Make a row of small buttons (think buttons for showing claims) just above the chat area. Clicking them toggles village chat, area chat and whatever other chats you add.

Re: village chat
By that logic the best UI would be none at all. Somehow that fails more general logic.

a man need only strike another to make him evil."
