How do i escape the evil toads

So yeah, i was out gathering curious when i spotted like 15 toads just sitting there in a swamp, who knows i might get a shocked frog right? well i got into my boat again after and was about to go on when i see my inventory is full and decide to drop the toads in the water. Now they have surrounded me, wont let me move and i cant pick them up. Please help

Also they dont move either, sometimes they will try but they cant move from where they were dropped.

Try to punch them. Or you can log off for 30 minutes and home nobody steals your boat.

indeed logging off fixed it, and nobody moved the boat. Guess ill try punching next time it happens

I suppose that if all else fails, you can just hearth away. You'd have to build a new boat, though.
