Best avoid using cliffs as a section of wall, though. There have been some serious bugs in the past where people could either wiggle their way in between the wall and cliff or just outright jump over the cliff. Even after a bug was fixed, it's been known to show back up again after a patch.

At some cliffs you can't build directly - best way to find out is to plow and pave a tile first and set a fence cornerpost sign - where you can build that you can build Palisade or Brickwall too

There shouldn't really be anymore updates on HnH instead of Hafen though, right?

No short of a serious issue Loftar won't update the current version before the next release.
