it's based off of that interview they did with some gaming site. it's my interpretation but i think it's generally in the ballpark._Gunnar wrote:Is that based on inner circle knowledge? or is that also conjecture?painhertz wrote: Nothing even close to that. itll be out in about 16-18 hours.Schattengaenger wrote:Okay okay I got it...if it wasn't obvious I didn't expected it to be out in a few hours...and yes....I didn't use the search function, as probably 70% of the <100 Post Users (huh, my mind is unsure if this sentence is complete or lacks a word...it's after 12am, I don't give a sh*t)
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I was thinking something like that, as well. With personal beliefs being done away with, this could end up having ties there as well. Certain character benefits gained from completing obscure experiences offering distinctions in the same vein as personal beliefs. Someone who's mined a lot maybe incidentally completes the requirements to unlock an experience that gives them a boost to their mining yield similar to industry. Just idle speculation, but I feel like that sounds interesting use of that kind of system.painhertz wrote:it's based off of that interview they did with some gaming site. it's my interpretation but i think it's generally in the ballpark._Gunnar wrote:Is that based on inner circle knowledge? or is that also conjecture?painhertz wrote: Nothing even close to that. Bingo....Run a lot without using water? Maybe you unlock a skill/buff that allows you to run 20% longer with the same amount of stamina loss. Etc etc. They said some "experiences" would be truly hard as hell to unlock. Almost like Perks in the Fallout series? That would rock.

Agreed. Perks are one of my favorite Fallout features. I love the little quirks that allow you to build your character into new and varied types just by play. Have a habit of getting shot by lasers? Knight in Shining armor. Have a Frail limbs and a pension for stepping on landmines and bear traps? Welp, Rad Regeneration.painhertz wrote:Bingo....Run a lot without using water? It's the little touches that really make the game.

So, while we wait, I have a few questions based on my half-asleep browsing of this forum. Am I correct to understand, that:
1. Game server for Hafen will be up in 15-20 hours approximately?
2. The link for downloading the game will be shared somewhere here on this forum and/or site homepage?
3. There is no way to start the game conveniently close to a friend, we will have to look for each other later ingame?
