Re: 1 Month In-game time is 720 hours
Ah that makes sense, I guess you are right. thanksmamotromico wrote:That is incorrect, the 15 dollar time is the same as the 10 sub. The difference is that the 15 dollars one give you a token that can be traded in-game.
See how PLEX works in EVE Online. It is the same thing.

Re: Pay 2 Play
Guys, learn about other videogames before trying to cheat us...
Wow -> 44.99$ + 14.5$ Montlhy/30k-40k ingame money (Years of experience in videogames, hundred of workers and 24h assistance)
Guild Wars 2 -> 44.99$ + No montlhy fees (Years of experience in videogames, hundred of workers and 24h assistance)
So... Do you want to tell us you will ask 14.99$ to "buy" the game and 14.99$ monthly? GGWP, i'll be back someday when you change this 'cause of nobody playing just to say "I told you".

15$ per mouth? Are you fucking seriously? It's a whole scholarship! With this money I can live almost a mouth! I am a student from Russia and I do not have that kind of money...

I paid my subscription before I even logged in for the first time. This game has always been worth a game of "Jorb... Loftar... Take my fuckin' money."
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

Re: Pay 2 Play
As most players, I'm disappointed.
First of all, it would have been nice to let people know BEFORE today. I'm sure many wouldn't have spent their afternoon waiting for the game to come out.
Haven was a great free game, and I'm sure many players would have bought Hafen 2.0 for a fair price if it was a "early access" kind of thing. You buy the game, in alpha, and play without limitation other than the game itself not being completely finished.
Pay to play is one of the worst things you could have done, and here's why:
- The game rewards people who spend a lot of time playing, which now translates in people who pay more to have more "Play-Time".
- The game is not completed, so my money will not always be worth the same amount. As of today, I would pay for a buggy and unstable game experience. In 6 months, it would probably be a whole new story.
- Not everyone can afford it. While 10$ a month might to be a lot, not everyone has it, which leads to the "free option".
- The free option give so little time, it's not worth playing. 12 hours A MONTH is more or less 20 minutes a day. Now, if we were talking about a dumb "smartphone app kind of game", 20 minutes would probably be fine. But given my experience in Haven and Salem, this kind of game requires a lot more time to enjoy. Someone suggested a "12 hours a week", but I still think it wouldn't be enough, giving too much advantage to those who pay.
- 10$ a month can buy you "more", meaning you can subscribe to fully developed games (e.g. World of Warcraft) for close to the same amount. You might like or not those games, but you can't deny they are on a whole different level.
At this point, a "pay to win" kind of thing would have been less of a damage, I think.
I strongly hope you will rethink your shop system. Clearly your player base doesn't like the new system at all, and while we saw a lot of people online today, waiting for Hafen, I doubt we will see them still online next month.
I understand you wanted to gain some money for your work, but this is not the right way. It truly feels like you are just trying to squeeze money out of your players, which is another reason for them to leave. The great community we saw today, is not going to stick around for more if things don't change.
Please think about it.

Re: Pay 2 Play
There's Salem. And anyways, it surely wouldn't be too hard for someone to make another game like H&H. It was buggy, had arguably poopy graphics and didn't seem particularly complicated.Kronicstrafe wrote:Problem is is that there is no other game like this. Honestly I was looking forwards to playing it with my community of bros and messing around but dang, I'm not paying for this. I mean why would I pay for game time that's just going to be used in a game about sitting around and waiting for things to be built; aka paying to watch your character stand there for a little while and get stat boosts from it multiple times a month. I had fun playing around with it before but I don't think I wanna.. like.. put money into this.
How's about we all find another game? We don't HAVE to play this. Let's just move on and find another experience. It'll all be cool.
Unless this is all a ruse, which in that case I don't see why we shouldn't check this game out if it's free.

Lower the price !!!
i'd like to suggest the price like $5 per month , its a good price , and really a lot of people would like this change , for alot of peoples its too expensive to pay per month, so think about it J&L .
if this price continue the players will not pay ( 2 / 100 will pay ... ) and the game is dead again D: so please change the prices !!!
FOR $5 BUCKS PER MONTH !!!! WOOOAAAHH !
