Devs are asleep while the server crashed, and they want a monthly fee? No auto-restart script, no on-call admins, seriously?
If you want to make money, you guys need to work like the rest of us. It's getting hard to defend this business model against the angry masses. I don't mind paying, as long as I'm playing. Spoiler alert, I'm not playing right now.
Will you ever reimburse paid players for lost time due to downtime?
As for many, this first 48-72 hours is the deciding factor if we pay for your game or not.

Your time only goes down while you're playing the game. But yes I agree they should get their sh*t together with the server.

Well it also goes down if you have monthly subscription.

Everyone uses the same server for this game so it will affect every person.Avu wrote:Well it also goes down if you have monthly subscription.

The monthly sub ends at a specific time, so yes, it still takes time from your monthly sub.Andrew4556 wrote:Everyone uses the same server for this game so it will affect every person.Avu wrote:Well it also goes down if you have monthly subscription.

If they go to sleep for a month and don't restart the server everyone gets affected yet you clearly aren't getting the month you payed unless it gets extended for downtime which it kinda should.

Listen dummy. Know why the server crashes? A bug. know what happens if a script auto-restarts the game? the bug crashes the server again. Now sit back and stfu.

Listen dummy, you know why businesses get to charge for subscriptions? Because they have people fix those bugs. Because they're in competition with every other business out there demanding money. Sit back and stfu, this is how the free market decides where the money goes.

I think you missed the part of the topic where he, you know, asked a question surrounding whether he gets reimbursed for this.painhertz wrote:Listen dummy. Know why the server crashes? You smugly skipped that one over, so can you just as smugly answer him? Pretty valid question from his side, I think.

If I just launched my own semi-successful 2 man made MMORPG to the masses, I'd have trouble sleeping the first 72 hours. These guys seem pretty relaxed about it.
