How does the new hunger and energy work?

I'm pretty sure health and stamina are the same, but hunger and energy seem to have changed.
Same with satiations, food efficacy, and experience points. What are those? haha meme

Stamina and health recovery suck up energy. You can recover energy by eating. It looks like drinking burns 20 energy per gulp. Hunger is a decay over time, so nothing we can do about that other than create reasonable arguments as to why we should get hungry faster.
