Swimming, boars, and bears are all excellent ways to start a new character. I suggest avoiding them.

Look I know what you mean, but you should avoid phrasing things this way in a starter guide.

Yea you need to pay at least a bit attention to what you are eating. I personally just ate about everything but with variety bonuses.

When you eat food you haven't eaten yet during that bar, the number of FEPs you need to gain attribute is decreased. So eat blackberry/blueberry etc. only once until you raise attribute and reset your bar.

This is definitely helping me although I crippled my first char. (Huge surprise) Hopefully will just kill him soon if I cant progress and start anew, but this all helped a ton. Showed me where I went wrong, thanks!
