It was like this:
I was see the rabbit near river and try to catch him, but can't - when im come close and right mouse clicking on him - there was a message "You need to turn swimming on to cross deep water" or something like this. Im turn swimming on, catch rabbit (he was "taken" by my cursor), but can't drop him in inventory or in water and can't moving (because cursor with item on him). Аfter a short time stamina dropped to null and my hearthling is drowned.


To people, who lost their character due to some bug is not available some compensation, game time or something like this?

You should be able to drop anything at the cursor anytime with a left-click to the ground.

Could you test if you can reproduct that it sticks to the cursor instead of vanishing (maybe not in deep water)?
