Where to Claim land?

Hi, I have a question, I'm thinking of claiming a land so I wonder, is it better to claim a land near other people or in an isolate place? What benefits do I get from claiming a land near other people?

claim land wherever you feel like. you gain no benefit from having your claim near other people, except that you have neighbors.
