I would call it an "anti-afk curioing of alts" thing. Botters will eventually figure out the system and be able to game it to a degree.burgingham wrote:It is meant as an anti bot measure so you actually have to play the game. The encounters are completely random.
So just progress in game and the xp will come.

Re: Good ways to get experience
My point is there does not seem to be much of a system other than you being more likely to get experiences when you start doing something you haven't done in some time. I guess it is bottable that way but meh.

Re: Good ways to get experience
It will at least require more work on the bot/alt farm than simply sitting offlinge gouging on curios, then.

Re: Good ways to get experience
There's a member of my village who's been actively playing, and for the last 3-4 days hasn't received a single experience event. He's stuck at like 3 experience, and hasn't been able to study anything for days, putting him at an incredible disadvantage. He is now actively attempting every event we know of that can yield experience, but to no avail.
Surely there needs to be more than RNGeesus to ensure that active players don't hit a metaphorical brick wall purely out of chance?

That is certainly a possible outcome. Aware that some people have troubles with it atm.

Re: Good ways to get experience
I get about 500 XP every time I log on, and for the most bottable things: lifting, drinking, walking from forest to grassland terrains back and forth. It seems more of an incentive to stay logged on than not to bot.Sevenless wrote:I would call it an "anti-afk curioing of alts" thing. Re: Good ways to get experience
That's just my luck right here. I've got like 5 (five) lore events completed (including mandatory ones like when you start a character), I've dug meself a decent trench-base, progressed the game as mad, but haven't even got a "sit on a chair", "drink water" or even "lift an object" events, this is some aurochcrap right here. As for "being able to study" i strongly recommend your villagemate to concentrate his efforts on raiding ant hills, since black Soldier Ants appear to have no exp.weight and I'm studying those one after another sitting on 0 (zero) exp.points at the moment.Maldazar123 wrote:There's a member of my village who's been actively playing, and for the last 3-4 days hasn't received a single experience event.
