Whats the fastest way to gain ash?

Make a firepit, light a fire, then right-click a stick on the fire while the fuel bar is still full. It'll turn into a firebrand which you can attempt to place in your inventory, and it'll turn to a pile of ash. Repeat.

for a quicker way make a kiln and fill it with bones when they done use the burnt bones and get tons of ash

Haven't looked since todays patch, but ash from firebrands have q0. Bone (and assuming other sources) have the Q of the item according to normal processing rules.
