Some deerfinding help?

Do only I am pretty unlucky finding deers? I spent quite a lot of time walking around and looking for deers today, seen every animal living on this planet, yet no deer. They spawn seems to be really damn rare, so I'm hoping for some tips from pros here. Well, mainly one thing. What's the most common biome to meet deers? It seems like motherfuckers went extinct. I dunno, maybe those blood-hungry badgers finished them off.

They tend to be located in darker forested areas, i have seen loads in those biomes. These biomes tend to be near the open grassy areas (at least that's the case in my surrounding area)

After years of tracking i found him. The last deer standing. The only one that survived among vicious badgers. The hope of his nation. He is dead.



BTW: Traveled back to house just to see 2 deers sitting nearby, lol.
