Assign a chieftain?

As a lawspeaker, how do i assign a villager to be chieftain? I've checked the Government menu and the Village tab of the kinship window, but grown no wiser on the subject.

seems like there are not formal roles anymore, you can assign permissions to groups instead

No more Chieftains?

Just realized I can't make people Chieftain is this going to be like this for the rest of the game?

At this point, yes. There are other village tools now for organizing. I don't have a list at hand, sorry, but village organization isn't my expertise.

It seemed rather pointless to force constitutions on people when there is a permission system.
