Just rying to save you from alot of frustration and heartache because this game isn't for the weak willed and if something so small can drive you to the forums to complain I hate to see how you react when someone raids your base and murders you and I say when because it will happen to you.
I came to this game after playing darkfall online, wurm, rust, ark, life is feudal - among others. Being able to see the lack of quality in a game product is something I have learned due to an extensive period of 20+ years of playing and testing thousands of different products. I'm here because I want to be here. But hey, I won't be stopping you from being an assumptious prick.
Actually pathfinding would just hurt the game. You are just looking at running to bases and foraging and the such. This game is also focused alot around PvP and combat in general. the difficulty of pathing is what ends up being the deciding factor in alot of fights (atleast from Haven 1 standpoint) where as if they put in path finding its just click half way accross the map and let the game do the work for you.
Check me out on Twitch! I stream many different games and it may seem my channel is inactive but that is because I am now restarting streaming! (Click the image :D)

It is a gamebreaking issue as it can lead to being defeated by creatures/players and/or permadeath. Yes, I do not like dying due to a game not being polished, had the ai been in the same situation like me which is it comes to a full stop when bumping into a tree - sure I would not complain. The ground would be level. As it is AI does not make mistakes, and the player is the only one capable of making one.

So yes, it is gamebreaking and adding it Would add comfort of play and subsequently improve game quality and yes lack of it IS lowering player retention as it's annoying as hell to have switch your camera angle every single second just to make sure in 2 meters you won't step on a bush that you can't see from the current angle.

Why are you waiting for gay marriage, your partner getting anxious?

This guy is just..... How can people with such a mindset play so many sandboxes? I highly suggest everyone to stop arguing with him, cause he is clearly stuck in his own little world with a themepark view. Just.... How can someone not understand such basic things as a game difficulty?

Read my post above yours explaining how adding it is actually game breaking. Also Ai is meant to be better than you. Again you are clearly trying to break PvP with wanting pathingt as you just stated players in that. It should be about skill not the game doing it for you deciding if you live or not. It isn't an issue of the game not being polished its an issue of you wanting the game puscified just for you where as pathing will honestly hurt PvP orientated long time players such as myself.

I thought player characters and wars are ment to be the meta not dodging a tree on your fucking way :D People calling lack of polish in a game difficulty nowadays, well yeah if that's your stance let's end this discussion.

Ah and bubba, how does pathfinding change anything, are you saying the other player can not move? Is your primary playstyle marksmanship by chance?

Are you really saying the AI is better situation because it has pathfinding? I will now ignore the fact that it's very easy to get animals stuck in cliffs or shores. Player character is controlled by a human being capable of avoiding obstacles. Animals are controlled by AI capable of avoiding obstacles. There, level ground. Unless the human being is not capable of avoiding obstacles. What you propose is:
Player character is controlled by AI capable of avoiding obstacles, animals are controlled by AI capable of avoiding obstacles.
That's not far from
Player character is controlled by AI capable of combat, animals are controlled by AI capable of combat.
Is it still a game? Where should the line be drawn?

I remember that once in my office someone launched FIFA game and set it up to 2 AIs playing with each other. It was mildly amusing to watch, when eating lunch

Have you been playing this game for only 7 days by chance? :)

so ur saying that u can jump down a cliff shouldnt be possible. Cuz a animal can not. Thats for ur cool AI that u want. Never seen a Animal build a Base, ( Jorb include this please) or shooting with a bow. Just Complaining for the animal side now.

And if ur so called friends quit over this simple fact then 1 kill after 1 month invested time will make them quit anyway.
