heavy earth

how do I get heavy earth? figure I gotta dig for it but where?

Caves or mine holes. You can scout ahead of an area by using rustroom to see what metals are on the layer below you. So if you use it on the surface you'll see what's in the Cave/Level 1. If you used it in a cave then you'd see what's in Level 2 and so on.

so just enter a cave and start digging anywhere?
or is it like the veins?
