I think being tied to a post prevents them from despawning.Procne wrote:Did anyone test is tamed animals can be safely left untied to a hitch post? As in jusy lock them in a pen old fashioned way

That'd be quite a strange behavior for tamed animals on a claim to despawn even if they are not tied...

I just had a boar that was supposed to be tied to a post and in the process of being tamed aggro me while I was standing near it. I thought animals that were tied up are not aggressive? We had to put the rabid fellow down.
Once a man has changed the relationship between himself and his environment, he cannot return to the blissful ignorance he left. Motion, of necessity, involves a change in perspective.

I assume the boar was tied to a hitching post and penned? Did you try breaking combat by going away?CaptainMidget wrote:My boar agro'd me too. Me and a friend ended up beating... What to feed a boar so you can leash it?

Clovers work on them for me, at least if I click on them with a clover I start walking at them. Not if they're aggroed in combat though.Granger wrote:What to feed a boar so you can leash it?
