I have to agree that characters should not be able to be killed due to the server crashing. Its much better to have someone escaping combat due to crash than the way it is now... justice can always be done another day, but death is permanent ^^

It is as such intended that people who have committed crimes should stay logged in. The server crash situation is very much an edge case. Nevertheless, will consider.

Logging out criminal scum on server crash (or worse, porting them to their HF) will effectively lead to people not reporting ways of crashing the server, so they can do it on purpose after going on a criminal spree. Having characters staying logged in on server crash (and dying in the process) will more likely lead to quick reports of server crash howtos - at least from the factions which have scents active on a regular basis since they would profit from a more stable server.

I am unsure how I stand on this topic. I strongly side with Granger; if criminals stay logged in it'd be best, because there'd be no incentive to find bagcrashes to use against your enemies to weasel out of trouble. However, as a criminal myself I know I'd be ENRAGED if I wasn't on the ball with the log-in.
