More realistic future maps

To begin with, I am quite new to this game and to the forum, so do not be too harsh on me if I get something in a wrong way.

My basic suggestion here is to add more waters and deserts if any future maps are generated to make the map more realistic, travel from one good location to another longer and importance of boats greater. What do you think about it?

I didn't really intend to say that all maps should be mostly water, I intended to say that they should have like 50% more maps and 100% more deserts than in the current map.

There aren't deserts in Scandinavia.
Those are probably mud flats you're thinking of.
They serve no purpose, other than the spawning place of poppies.

mmh..no. 50 and 50 isn't a realistic map. Is a swamp with some island of soil around XDD

If it is Scandinavia you want to recreate, why there's no mountains? Cliffy areas with less vegetation or even snow could serve the purpose of those, I think.
