That is actually a complicated issue. Be sure to at least report any bug you come across would be my advice and do not employ any that actively hurt other players. Then again almost any action undertaken in this game has some kind of influence on other people...so where to draw the exact line? I dunno.VDZ wrote:Can we still safely abuse obvious design mistakes and minor bugs? Is anything that affects other players off-limits?VDZ wrote:Now, the real question is: Where do we draw the line?
Should it be allowed to collect Dragonflies in a swamp using the horse's magical swampwalking abilities?
Should it be allowed to one-shot animals using the bow at 1 MM (before the fix)?
Should it be allowed to abuse the horse's hitbox to fight animals above your level?
Should it be allowed to trespass into a claimed cave without Trespassing using a horse?
There's varying degrees of bug abuse (from design mistake to blatant abusable bug) and varying degrees of harm caused (from minor advantage for user to complete annihilation of other player). At what point does it constitute 'abuse' and should abusers be punished for it?
I am pretty sure Jorb is not going to nuke anyone over minor things though like bugging out animals in fights.

I think one of the quite-sure lines is when you use it to make other players miserable.burgingham wrote:I am pretty sure Jorb is not going to nuke anyone over minor things though like bugging out animals in fights.

The other is if you use it to get yourself miles ahead of everyone else like the LP bug in w4 or the coal bug in w2.

-=The law of inverse desire=- The chances of dropping what you want is the reciprocal of how much you want it.

Seems fair enough to nuke bagousers and not revive victims since it is alpha, but if I was one of the victims it might not feel that way.
be wary of masterkeys on bagousers alts/friends who survived.
