That IP is not public. So I am not sure what you are getting at?

I just said I wouldn't mind if it were and even posted about a discussion we are having there here. So what's your point?

Just found it funny when you post about nothing secret going on and then the next message "yeah we are discussing it over at IP. all good. deal with it." without much explanation.
No point really :P

Hmk ;) What I wanted to say was that we brought up similar points as in the Inn thread and JLo's response was something like: Well we intended it to kinda be that way.

You really don't want to be friends with jorb.

I've had two of my chars killed by bugs and all he does is laugh at my tears ;_;

His first thought should have been, "As a paying player, would I be fucking pissed if I got bug raided this world?"

And then his brain overheats because it's working too hard.
Most paying players would be pissed if they got everything they worked on razed to the ground, regardless of whether bugs were used or not. Haven is unique in that the golden rule of 'don't be an asshole' does not apply here, and "griefing" is part of the game. So in that situation, how far can you go with being an asshole before it goes beyond just being part of the game? It used to be that even all the abusable bugs were just part of the game. This is clearly changing now, but at the time the crime was committed there was no real indication it was no longer allowed.

In real life laws, you cannot be prosecuted for doing something that was not outlawed at the time you committed the crime, specifically to avoid issues with gray areas like these.

It's not like they didn't know abusing a major bug was a bad thing. They woulda had to be totally autistic to think it was okay to wall-jump, given that in the past, SEVERAL times, places have been nuked from wall-jumping and or major bug abuse.

They had to know that Jorb and Loftar would be forced to make a decision regarding this, it was almost certain that they would. Think about it for a second, the only thing more rare than the developers razing entire villages is them bringing an entire village back to life. Did you really think they were going to do that? Did the people who used this bug really think they were going to do that? So the alternative would have been, and was indeed, fucking their shit up. It was the only choice they had.

Seriously, you're given a choice between kicking out cheaters or losing fair players and both groups pay money it's pretty obvious you're going to kick out the cheaters. It is just common sense.

I just looked at RL laws and the results they give us and one though came to my mind: Good that this isn't real life.

My 2 euros ...

1. It must have been painfull - I feel sorry for Your lost chars and time.

2. Bugusers were killed, their village razed and soil salted. Nothing more can be done. I would call it justice. It is pity You won't be revived. I feel Your loos and I really mean it - no sarcasm included. I hope You rebuild fast since bonds are far more important than quality of kiln.
