Tar Kiln Q to Effect Output

Shouldn't the Tar kiln quality effect the quality of the charcoal and tar made in it? just the same as Kilns effect the quality of goods produced in them

It softcaps them currently, so it does effect the quality. Higher quality wood blocks are the necessary factor for raising tar and coal quality from a tar kiln though.

Kilns also softcap bricks made in them but the formula is as such that if the kiln and fuel average is of greater quality than the clay then it will raise the quality of the brick also, Tar kilns just nerf your shit if its not good enough quality

In quality speak, that means the kiln is part of the product quality formula, an ingredient if you will.

I don't really understand how they expect us to raise quality very well when tar kilns always remain neutral and you can't use boards as fuel

It's probably meant to slow down the quality spiral pretty hard. Just gotta get that wood quality as high as possible.

Well it wouldn't exactly be game breaking if Tar kilns raised a 10q log into a 20q charcoal the tar kiln will always be the limiting factor due to the construction materials needed for it 50 clay and 35 rocks, as rocks no longer gain quality during smelting ore you maybe might see a 100q tar kiln in a years time and that's being generous and at that point im sure its going to be softcapping the hell out of our logs

They do now if you put them through the finery forge.
