It does if you plan to get him summon-executed regularly and always grind back to the LP he had. Moving towards tradition really kills your LP gain, I think.

This isn't about who's on top, it's about how it's determined. I've lost four games of Starcraft to every one I won on Battle.net, and I still think that Starcraft is a great game because all those losses were due to the other guy outplaying me (yes, I suck at Starcraft).
