Party arrow doesn't update if a party member is stationary

I know party arrows not working correctly over long distance has previously been reported, but I've noticed specifically that the indicator consistently doesn't update if a player doesn't change position. I can walk up to and stand on the "ghost" position of my party member and the indicator will snap back beyond the map border the moment the party member finally moves.

Known. Previously reported. Will hopefully be fixed at some point. Thanks.
