I used to think that fate was based on how many rare curios you had already found so for example if you find a bluebell you have less chance of finding another one cause that would prevent bot grinding but i seriously doubt this theory now cause i hear that some people have so many and others so few. can someone explain to me how fate actually works?

Noone can explain it except for the developers. My friends a bluebell magnet, finds them not looking for them. Me on the other hand I've found 1 bolete like 3 weeks ago. Abandon hope all ye who enter

Now that i have been exploring it further i think that it is character based. so like when you make a char theres a chance that he will be better at seeing certain curios than a different char who may be better at seeing other curios. All in all i don't think its a bad idea i just wish i could find ANY rare curios at all cause i haven't found pearls,flotsams,bluebells, you name it i haven't found it.
