Cupboard Chess

Postby Gabula » Fri Oct 09, 2015 1:44 pm

Let's discuss it. Does anyone have a complete set yet? What pawns to use other than tin warriors? What item to use for kings / queens? Color matching (white vs black or other sets?). Post pics of your cupboard chess.

I'm gonna say it should be done out of stones/metal ores. Probably the best way to get proper variety needed for two different colour sets.

Would be great if we could make crap curiosities from [any rock/nugget] in a variety of recolourable variants.
King, Queen, etc. Man would I pay for that DLC - I wanna beat Jorb at chess in Valhalla!

10$ to have the crap curiosities craftable by your char. (yeah, they do not need to be curiosities)

We need a larger cupboard to play hnefatafl, though.

Chess pieces made of rocks, glass, metal, or wood.

the board can be the same thing can be made of rocks, glass, metal, or wood.

make a chessboard table. (not a food table)

boom~ bam good idea is good.
no need for rules let the hearthling do their thing

open the table to show this. the middle is the playing field the sides are for storing chess pieces/when playing you put captured/dead pieces in the side.

HOLY FUDGE I LOVE CHESS SO MUCH! Although i absolutely suck at it. Played a chess app, the CPU beat me in a few minutes on the "Very Easy" setting. #worstchessplayerever

I feel you. I built an outdoor one in w5, and it got wiped before I got it finished. i was using different items that could be picked up for the pieces. It was hard keeping track of everything, though, as very little was representative of the actual piece it was replacing.
