Arrr, go play Puzzle Pirates if ye feel a need to pay a pirate-y MMOG.

Seriously, they could use the players.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I can name at least 3 or 4 good pirate based MMOs. Not great, mind you, but they are solid. None of them hold a candle to H&H, and there'd be nothing wrong with adding another dimension to H&H gameplay.

If we were to make oceans~ with larger rivers, then what we got now streams and lakes. it would not be hardcore against it.

Boats~ we already know that.

-Net fishing
-Crab fishing
-and large game fishing (what we can say would be simlar to hunting deer, boar and bears)

adding small bio that only spawn in oceans
you can add seal hunting
polar bear hunting
caribou

Im all for the, other ways to gather food.
adding seas and giving people another way of hunting- that would be cool.

And when J&L start adding in Farm goods that only grow in a few bios and need to be combine with other farm goods to make a high Fep dish.
then the trader life will become even more blissful :D

Once you buy a warbrig the game gets stale. Use to be fun but not anymore.

Not to get too off topic, but I have always felt that if the map was segmented like the earth, with certain biomes appearing only because certain conditions are met, i.e tropical, arctic or what not, then trade become mandatory because it wouldnt be so feasible to travel daily opposit ends of the map

I'd be surprised if anyone could get enough people to man one these days.
But it's still kinda fun, if you're in a piratey mood. Yarrr.
