I'm pretty sure the intention was to have more furnishings and maybe they are in the pipe-line, if not then they most definitely should be. It's heartbreaking to see screenshots of all these beautiful houses filled up with stockpiles of stones and rubbish.
Here are a few suggestions to make our houses more like houses.

Long dinning tables with more ornate chairs for the great hall;

I know we have no use for beds but it would be nice to bring them back just for appearances, a nice four-poster bed with curtains would be ideal;

A long floor standing mirror, we have glass, we have wood ...... and we have all these new outfit combo's to try on.

Ottoman, like a chest but with a cloth covered top, usually has a lock and key.

Stone fireplace. All those beautiful stones put to good use. We could also use the stones for carving small sculptures or busts.

Tapestries for walls, we have cloth, needles and silks for the stitching.

And finally, back to the cupboards, why can't wood colour also be reflected in the cupboards? We could at least make matching décor then and make the interior of houses more personalised.
