Animal Destroys Boat

Animals shouldbe able to jump on boatif theres seat avaible.

Basically it's like how twitching worked in old haven the animal runs to the boat twitches you jump out hit it and jump back in and your 100% safe but now to prevent that I'd assume animals now break boats also to prevent boat blocking

If I were doing that it wouldn't have destroyed my boat, it happened because I didn't try to cheat it, the only thing I did was aggro it from the river and get out of the boat after it got to the edge of the water. I didn't go back in the boat.

But did you get out into shallow water or on land? Because like I was saying earlier, I've noticed in my own cheesy hunting that shallow water spazzes them out a bit. In that when luring a bear into a previously possible boat-trap spot, I had to walk onto land tiles for it to "spot me" and follow, otherwise it wouldn't go to shallow water. Could be it didn't detect you as existing on proper terrain so it went for the last known location and hit what was there.

On land, there was barely enough shallow water there along the river I was on to even walk through really. I do know what you mean regarding the shallow water bugginess though.

I got out of the boat on to land, deer was to my right. I looped around to the other side of the deer (still on land) so that I was now on its right and it was between me and the boat, the boat being to the left of the deer.

It attacked the boat instead of me.

I like somewhat unpredictable animal behavior. You should never feel completely safe around an animal that you can't straight up beat in a fight.

But I can beat it easily, that's what I was doing and it attacked my boat anyways QQ

Plus when it destroyed my boat the other deer I had inside vanished

Animal tries to destroy your escape route. I do not mind this. ^^

Hard to debug/reproduce. Would not mind more information on how to.

Suspect that the problem is a more general problem with the pathfinding algorithm, rather than a problem with the animal behavior as such, but if so the problem is also bigger in scope and not immediately actionable.

If you are in boat. Animal will tick so it starts walking towards your boat and destroying it. If you hop off after this it will destroy the whole boat and after that attack you. I think.
Not going to test it though, i dont want to break my valuable boats.
