Well, then make sure it doesn't change when area unloads. Haven't tested it in hafen, but that was the case in legacy.b0r3d0m wrote:Yep.marvi wrote: Might I ask how you will identify objects? Using gob.id?

The IDs do change over time. Fairly quick too if you live alone, so it's likely still if it unloads the grid.marvi wrote:Well, then make sure it doesn't change when area unloads. Done -- https://github.com/romovs/amber/pull/23b0r3d0m wrote:DaniAngione wrote:Not sure if it has been suggested already, but would it be possible to allow us to 'give names' to cupboards? And so when some key is hold or when hovering the mouse over (or something like that) we can see the name of the cupboard?
My fellow villagers are having trouble memorizing the correct cupboards for each type of item and I'm going crazy trying to organize all the stuff![]()
It is useful only for yourself. But how you can transfer this info to all village members?

Yeah, just noticed it, thanks a lot.boshaw wrote:The IDs do change over time. Fairly quick too if you live alone, so it's likely still if it unloads the grid.
Actually I can implement this, but we need some kind of shared storage to do it.jaguar wrote:It is useful only for yourself. But how you can transfer this info to all village members?

Just write them into json file, not to registry. Then we can exchange json files. Or to use current setup, you can also create .reg file that we can share with other members.b0r3d0m wrote:Actually I can implement this, but we need some kind of shared storage to do it.jaguar wrote:It is useful only for yourself. But I prefere to use json :/
But ID of objects is more problematic currently

It's not that user-friendly, but yes, this is an option.jaguar wrote:Just write them into json file, not to registry. Then we can exchange json files. Or to use current setup, you can also create .reg file that we can share with other members.

Maybe we can set markers on specific coordinates (mc), not objects' IDs.jaguar wrote:But ID of objects is more problematic currently

Btw, if itme stolen you can track them somehow. This mean that objects have some static params?b0r3d0m wrote: Maybe we can set markers on specific coordinates (mc), not objects' IDs.

In what way does it interfere with ground leveling?Ukhata wrote: also can you change the mass filling of furnaces?
i use ctrl+shift to level ground
Mmm, very minor issue which probably doesn't worth the effort of fixing. Unless there's some use case I am not aware of where it actually gets annoying?bolognaman wrote:On a side note, pressing ctrl+m with the chat box minimized will open up dialog box for the active chat in addition to toggling account status info.romovs wrote: Indeed ctrl+m seems to be the culprit. I'll try to release a fix by this weekend.

I like to "drag" the view, for example holding middle click and moving the mouse left will move the camera rightwards. Moving mouse upwards will make the camera drop, etc. Atm it's the opposite and fucks with my head when I switch to other games.
I always found original controls being rather intuitive actuallyApillion wrote:Agreed a setting to invert each axis on its own would be pro!
Coordinates are not constant either. Could probably generate coordinate relations map for a certain group of objects but that would fail more than work; stuff gets moved, houses tend to have similar setups, etc.b0r3d0m wrote:Maybe we can set markers on specific coordinates (mc), not objects' IDs.jaguar wrote:But ID of objects is more problematic currently
Should be easy to add.Inzainia wrote:is there an option to show volume in alpha numeric on containers? like flasks, buckets etc..? it is in enders just curious if i'm missing the checkbox here.
