In russian we have words "факция" and "фракция", like "faction" and "fraction". Both these words can denote political factions with some semantic nuances.(We don't use "фракция"("fraction") when talk about math fractions btw, only in chemistry. For math fractions we have another word.) So for me it was mixing in russian word, not misspelling. =]
