Lol, it's like chinese whispers ... changes every time the story gets passed on. I didn't even know about the other two chars, were they from the village too?venatorvenator wrote:That's not exactly the entire story either if I remember it right. Zox or his friend killed a guy ("with good gear" in his own words) and knew which was his home village so he could have gotten into contact, but instead he went "not my problem". Then after his clay was stolen as compensation, he started telling people he was the victim because the guy he had killed was 15 or 30 minutes from his village, while in fact he was about 2 hours away. And then he killed another two chars by ambushing owned roads. Yet still, he didn't simply ask for USD 50 - demanding real money in exchange for not starting a war is outright blackmail.
I was also told he was demanding $100 ... but yes, w/e the amount of money, ofc, that is blackmail and I did say at the time, even though at that point I was under the impression that someone from the village had started it, that obviously no-one is going to give it to him and he had some nerve for even asking!
The only other thing I'm curious about is why Arvins lot are involved, couldn't it have been dealt with internally?
Anyway, thanks Ven.

You need numbers and people in different timzones if you're camping a ram, we were involved since we run a pretty sweet Physical Removal Service. Also, we didn't really like zox's shenanigans either, everything from making RMT mainstream to raiding our recruitment town and killing bob, us joining was pretty natural.Amanda44 wrote: The only other thing I'm curious about is why Arvins lot are involved, couldn't it have been dealt with internally?

I thought that is extortion, not blackmail.

It's hard to know when someone is just talking a big game and can't back it up and when they are actually legitimate, we found out that his words and threats meant less than he had led us to believe but only due to the raid going off without a hitch. This is a guy who had been publically raiding with Ainran, was nicknamed "The Flash" and already managed to kill a few guys and was ballsy enough to break roads and camp them on his own.Amanda44 wrote: The only other thing I'm curious about is why Arvins lot are involved, couldn't it have been dealt with internally?
So yes it could have been handled without help provided but hindsight is 20/20, the help is there because camping a ram can be dangerous and difficult when the person is actually around and might also have assistance from others. There was no way to know until the deed was done.
Also it was nice for relations

Give me some time to put the whole story.
Sadly, it wasn't about honour, i wish i were given a chance to fight back until i finish, this one death doesn't deserves the Valhalla.
Good work, guys! Also, shoutout to Bobdole, i hope you reading this, meet me in Valhalla to take your revenge!

@ Arvin and Kaios ... thanks for the replies, yes, I hadn't thought about the ram camping side of it, so yeah, I see why that helps and yes, he did have quite the reputation, which I was aware of.
Well, job well done guys at the end of the day ... I wonder how he is going to react when he comes back from his holiday.
