Re: Amber Client
Oh yeah forgot it needs JDK.
You'll need to uninstall any Javas you have and install this one http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 33151.html
Look for jdk-8u66-windows-x64.exe. It's basically same Java just bundled with some additional development tools so it shouldn't interfere with any other java apps you have.
But in any case, if you don't want to mess with that too much just the log.txt would also help.

Re: Amber Client
I hope that this is the place to ask for some mac suppport, as im a big fan of H&H and especially this client.
On my own windows PC i have no problems whatsoever to run the client, however, on my wife´s Macbook thats a different story.
As you might have guessed, i am absolutely clueless on how to work with these devilish computers, and got stuck after downloading the client file.
I have adjusted to .bat file included to match the Linux/Apple code, but it gives me a message stating it cannot find a program to execute the .bat with. As i have literally 0 experience fixing any issue on a Mac, i hope one of u guys knows what to do.
I am able to run the default client with little problems, so it doesn't seem to me that this problem is impossible to fix. Hopefully ill be up and running before the new year
Thanks in advance for any help.
Edit: After tweaking a bit i got as far as running the commands through the Mac´s terminal with the following output :
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: haven/MainFrame : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClassCond(ClassLoader.java:637)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:621)
at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:141)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:283)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:58)
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:197)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:190)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:301)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:247)
This leads me to believe the Java 6 im using at the moment doesn't work with this client, does this mean ill have the unable to move bug again?

Correct, you'll need to update to Java 8.Deswagcration wrote: This leads me to believe the Java 6 im using at the moment doesn't work with this client, does this mean ill have the unable to move bug again?
Mouse should work properly now with latest Java, loftar fixed it a few weeks back.
If you have lagging or double cursor there is "Force hardware cursor" option in Control Settings to remedy that.

Re: Amber Client
First of all thanks for the quick reply
Secondly, i was about to proudly post i got it to work, with a small note on the side,
Im not sure if i am the only one who has run into this, but i did run into the infamous double cursor bug, which i will fix using your solution. However, i found it quite surprising that i needed to adjust all the GFX settings to their minimals in order to have >10 FPS using your client, while the default client did not have this issue.
Anyway, im going to be toying around a bit
cheers for ur reply

Re: Amber Client
Hey Just got back to HnH not too long ago and am loving your client!
Thing is, I have an issue where most of the font (not chat font) is so small I cannot even tell the difference between 8's and 0's.
A few years ago I had the same issue (with a different pc) and was able to fix it, but sadly now I can't recall how I managed to do that.
If you've any idea on how to approach fixing this, that'd be great.
Thanks!

Re: Amber Client
Sorry for late reply. Holidays and all...
Try setting a lower resolution in Windows.
Other than that can't really help at the moment. I have some plans regarding larger fonts sizes but it's currently on "delay".. waiting for some free time to work on it.
